Slab Sculpture Reflection
1.
Evaluate:
What are the good / strong parts of your project? What is done well? The project is very detailed and stable.
Why? It makes the project beautiful.
2.
Evaluate:
What do you think you could have done better on this project? I could have made the inside look better.
Why? It is boring.
3.
Describe
the attributes of your theme / unity: What is the design like? Why? It is very natural and not strictly symmetrical.
4.
Describe
the form of your sculpture: what kind of 3-D shape does it have (cylindrical, spherical, egg-like, bumpy, smooth)? Why? It is cylindrical and carved with floral details.
5.
What inspired you to make your design this way? What is the primary meaning of your design? How did you do this? Why did you do it that way? When I rolled the slab, it looked like it would make a good crown. True richness and beauty come from ordinary, mundane things.
6.
Metacognate: What did you learn from this project that you could apply to others? What lessons could be applied to life in general? Good details take a long time to make.
Why? They can get you into cool art shows.
